JI Naib Ameer Liaquat Baloch criticized the government during a press conference in Rawalpindi for its “failure” to solve unemployment, inflation, and other problems that the general public is facing.
Pakistan’s economy, he claimed, has reached a dead stop. JI Naib Ameer called the latest budget a “document of national destruction” in response to it.
Citing the sharp rise in electricity costs as evidence, Ameer Liaquat Baloch claimed that the government and its allies are “oblivious” to the suffering of the populace and that this has left the average person pessimistic about the future.
The JI had already declared a sit-in protest over inflation, unemployment, electricity load shedding, and excessive billing in Islamabad.
In a statement, Ameer Jamaat Islami Hafiz Naeemur Rehman said that the current heatwave is responsible for 1,000 deaths.
