According to News, OVO has appointed James Davies, a former employee of William Hill and online real estate broker Purplebricks, as its new chief financial officer.
According to an insider, OVO employees were informed of Mr. Davies’s appointment on Thursday.
It is the most recent stage of a leadership transition at the company, which has seen former Just Eat CEO David Buttress become CEO and former J Sainsbury boss Justin King take over as chairman.
Mr. Davies’s predecessor, Vincent Casey, will join the board of OVO Group as an advisor.
In order to explore options for the business, OVO and a few of its shareholders began a strategic review in the summer.
With nearly four million residential customers, it is less popular than firms like British Gas-owned Centrica and Octopus Energy.
By acquiring BonnetA, an on-street vehicle charging company, and introducing Charge Anytime, an electric vehicle solution, it has expanded the range of products it offers consumers.
