On Tuesday, the second day of the first Test at the Multan Cricket Stadium, Pakistan defeated England by 556 runs at the end of the first innings in 149 overs thanks to an unbeaten century from Salman Ali Agha and an 82 from Saud Shakeel.
Abrar Ahmed (3) was caught by Duckett to end the innings, but Salman Ali Agha continued to stand to the very end, having scored 104 runs off 119 balls.
Pakistan began the second day at 328/4 with Naseem Shah and Shakeel at the wicket. In the 105.4 overs, Shah (33) was out in the game after Harry Brook caught the ball.
Despite taking blows to his helmet and bowling hand, the right-arm fast bowler smashed three sixes to deny England a breakthrough in the first hour of play.
