After competing in the inaugural Esports World Cup in Saudi Arabia, Luke Bennett is returning home victorious.
Furthermore, the 19-year-old Worcestershire native from Bromsgrove is returning £100,000 richer after winning the top sim racing prize (short for simulated racing).
“It’s quite bizarre,” Luke remarks to News. Now, though, he hopes to have the opportunity to turn his dream into a professional motorsports driver.
Luke is a member of squad Redline, a division of Red Bull’s Formula One squad, which counts Belgian-Dutch racer Max Verstappen among its former members.

Even though the team was established over two decades ago, Luke claims that people are still in shock when he discusses his work.
He claims that when he informs individuals about the prize money at stake, many are taken aback.
“It shows it’s getting bigger and bigger, and it can be a career for some people.”
At the Esports World Cup, Team Redline dominated, never placing lower than four in the competition’s grand finals.
