The first lineups of films that have been chosen for nominations for the 2024 European Film Awards have been revealed.
The Hollywood Reporter claims that the EFA’s list, which includes the first 29 films nominated for this year, was made public on Wednesday.
Kinds of Kindness, Emilia Pérez, The Substance, Kneecap, and The Devil’s Bath are just a few of the lineups that have been chosen as the first movies that members can submit nominations for.
The Italian dramedy There’s Still Tomorrow, which topped the local box office last year and sold more tickets in Italy than Barbie did worldwide, is by far the most commercially successful movie in the lineup.
According to the release, the EFA board chose the selection, which includes all 26 of Europe’s nations. The titles have been submitted by the board to the 5,000 European Academy voting members as possible candidates for this year’s honors.
In September, the titles for the second selection will be revealed.
