ISLAMABAD: Former Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) media coordinator Javed Badar publically apologized to Nawaz Sharif of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) for disseminating “false narratives and slanderous accusations” while he was with the party created by Imran Khan.
Badar wrote an open letter to Nawaz Sharif, his family, and his party, expressing his sincere contrition for what he had done.
He clarified that his apology was the result of introspection and a fear of being held accountable by God. “This letter is written purely out of fear of the hereafter and the voice of my conscience, without any pressure or temptation,” he said.
Badar acknowledged destroying Nawaz and his family’s reputation, creating and spreading false propaganda against them, and using dishonest tactics to acquire power.
