For three episodes, Huffman will be a guest star on the Paramount+ series “Criminal Minds: Evolution.”
She’ll portray Dr. Jill Gideon, the former spouse of Mandy Patinkin’s character, Jason Gideon, a BAU therapist.
Huffman told TV Line, “I can tell you that she was deeply involved at the beginning of the BAU.”
“She was one of the pioneers, along with her husband and Joe Mantegna’s character Rossi. She went on, “After that, she divorced Gideon because their marriage wasn’t working, but they remained friends and she continued to serve as his therapist.”
