House Pakistani roads in Karachi are closed longer due to the presence of the Iranian president.
Due to Iranian President Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi’s visit to the port city, a number of highways in Karachi would be stopped until 7 p.m. on Tuesday, according to Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Traffic Ahmed Nawaz Cheema.
The senior traffic police official expressed remorse for the inconvenience the public had to endure as a result of the roads being closed in a traffic update.
In the meantime, there were problems with the mobile phone services in certain parts of the port city.
During the Iranian president’s visit, mobile phone services have been blocked on some routes in the city, according to a statement from the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA).
According to the statement, mobile services would be unavailable on a few routes in Karachi from 3:00 p.m. on April 23 until 8:00 a.m. on April 24.
