Together with the developers of Sonic, Keanu Reeves will provide the voice of Shadow, the enigmatic and notorious villain.
The Hollywood Reporter has reported that the Matrix star will be adding to the voice cast of the well-loved franchise, following the recent CinemaCon, which provided an exclusive look at Sonic 3 with a fresh glimpse on Sonic and Shadow’s characters (without voice).
Reeves is apparently shifting to an animated universe to add more action and intensity to the plot and provide his voice to a complicated character, an anti-hero, after building a fan following with his action-packed scene in John Wick.
For those who don’t know, Sonic has Shadow as his archenemy and occasionally ally. who, despite having dubious and darker values, possesses all the attributes of a hero, including his powers.
The 59-year-old actor’s casting has brought another level of interest to the franchise as filming for the third episode of the epic gets underway, igniting fans’ enthusiasm to witness the magic happen.
