New property rates will be announced by the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), which will now encompass 54 localities nationwide instead of only 42.
According to sources, these tariffs and updated appraisals for another 12 towns would be released in the next few days.
Property values have been reevaluated, and the updated estimates should be more in line with current market prices.
Major cities like Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, and Peshawar will see updated property rates, whereas Balochistan will noticeably experience a decrease.
With the intention of increasing tax collections from real estate transactions, the new value tables are expected to be made public this week, subject to Ministry of Law clearance.
