A fetal development movie that was being considered for sex education curricula in several states was attacked by pro-choice OBGYNs, with one physician saying it was the “last thing kids need[ed] to be watching.”
The pro-life charity Live Action made the animated film, which depicts “Baby Olivia”‘s growth from conception until delivery. There are bills being considered in Kentucky, Iowa, Missouri, and West Virginia that would mandate that sex education students view videos of prenatal development, such as the one featuring Baby Olivia. The initiatives are in line with a statute that was passed in North Dakota the previous year.
Advertising their video as medically correct, Live Action claims to have had six different doctors, including OB/GYNs, vouch for it.
Nonetheless, the video infuriated several medical groups that support abortion rights. news spoke with pro-abortion OBGYNs.
