As part of an ongoing campaign against human trafficking networks, the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has detained 458 agents and human smugglers in the last two months.
Eight prominent offenders from the FIA’s Red Book are among those who were arrested.
The operation was carried out in response to the Federal Interior Minister’s orders to dismantle people smuggling gangs that were active throughout the nation, according to the agency’s most recent performance report.
According to the study, the FIA has made great strides in identifying and apprehending those responsible for recent disasters involving migrant boats.
