ISLAMABAD: According to The News on Tuesday, Kristalina Georgieva, managing director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), praised Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb for remaining on course in the face of challenges.
Kristalina commended Aurangzeb during a high-level panel discussion on the second day of the AlUla Conference 2025 “A Path for Emerging Market Resilience” in Saudi Arabia. “I want to share a secret with the audience that the minister likes his job despite facing all difficulties,” she said.
“This is indeed the right trajectory to travel and I thank [him] for his dedication to stay on the course,” she continued.
The IMF and the Saudi Ministry of Finance organized the two-day seminar with the goal of promoting conversations about fostering resilience and sustainable economic growth in the face of global economic uncertainty.
