ISLAMABAD: On Wednesday, Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb traveled to Washington to attend a series of high-level talks with senior US officials and international financial organizations.
The World Bank-IMF Annual Meetings served as the backdrop for the meetings. A delegation from Pakistan is being led by Aurangzeb to the WB-IMF Annual Meetings, which will take place in the US capital from October 21 to 26.
State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) Governor Jameel Ahmad, Secretary of Economic Affairs Dr. Kazim Niaz, and Finance Secretary Imdad Ullah Bosal are among the other delegates.
The finance czar commended the US for its support and recognized the significance of the Pak-US economic collaboration for Pakistan’s socio-economic growth during the meeting with Amy Holman, Assistant Secretary of State for Economic and Business Affairs, US Department of State.
