KARACHI: After an hour-long firefighting effort, the massive fire that started in an industrial unit in the SITE area on Friday morning was brought under control, according to rescuers.
They stated there had been no reports of fatalities. But in the process of the rescue, one of the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation’s (KMC) firefighters passed out.
The SITE-According to a police report, the fire started at a plastic plant next to Customs House.
1122 Rescue Dawn was informed by Director General Dr. Abid Shaikh that they learned about the fire at about nine in the morning. Around 2:15 p.m., he claimed, seven fire tenders were able to put out the fire.
