Alongside his spouse David Furnish, the 77-year-old musician grinned and gave the thumbs up as he arrived at the Toronto International Film Festival on the back of a buggy.
Elton John: Never Too Late, which was directed by RJ Cutler and Furnish, examines the singer’s lengthy career and shows him getting ready for his final performance at Los Angeles’ Dodger Stadium.
Only a few days had passed since Sir Elton revealed his whereabouts to his nearly five million Instagram followers.
“I’ve been dealing with a severe eye infection over the summer that has unfortunately left me with,” he added.
I’m mending, but it’s going to be very gradual, and it will take some time for the affected eye to see normally again.
I am incredibly appreciative of my family, the wonderful medical staff, and the nurses who have been taking such fantastic care of me these past few weeks.
