Throughout his coaching career, 44-year-old Fissette has worked with former Grand Slam champions Kim Clijsters and Angelique Kerber.
After assisting the 26-year-old in winning two of her four Grand Slam titles, he broke up with Naomi Osaka of Japan in September.
Swiatek posted on Instagram, “I want to say that I’m very excited and looking forward to working with Wim.”
