The injured were transferred to Civil Hospital Turbat, according to SHO City Turbat Yasin Baloch, who also informed Dawn.com that all of the patients “sustained [only] minor injuries and were in stable condition.”
He reported that evidence had been gathered from the detonation scene by police and a bomb disposal crew.
“The preliminary inquiry suggests that a hand grenade was the source of the explosion,” he declared. “But an investigation has been started [to gather information].”
In a statement, the government of Balochistan denounced the incident and confirmed that the Ministry of Interior has been tasked with opening an investigation through spokesperson Shahid Rind.
The victims are receiving medical attention, according to the spokeswoman.
