According to the Global Climate Risk Index, the 170 million-person nation in South Asia, which is crisscrossed by hundreds of rivers and has seen repeated floods in recent decades, is among the nations most vulnerable to natural catastrophes and climate change.
According to a Friday statement from the ministry of disaster relief, “13 people have died nationwide, and 4.5 million people have been affected.”
The advisory stated that approximately 190,000 more people were brought to emergency relief shelters.
According to the bulletin, the floods hit 11 out of the 64 districts in the nation.
