LONDON: Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar met separately with UK Ministers of State for South Asia and Commonwealth, Lord Tariq Ahmad, and Minister of State for Development, Andrew Mitchell, at the Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office in London on Friday.
Pakistan-UK ties, regional and global security, Pakistan’s position in the UN and other multilateral forums, and Pakistan’s economic and development vision were all discussed.
Lord Ahmad congratulated Dar on his appointment as foreign minister and indicated a wish to cooperate closely with the new government as it moves forward.
The two sides emphasized the strong friendship and amity that exists between Pakistan and the United Kingdom.
