Mumtaz Zahra Baloch, the spokesperson for the Foreign Office, said Monday that four Pakistanis were among the people killed in Saturday’s boat capsizing incidents close to the Greek islands.
“We announce with deep sorrow that, as per the latest information shared by the Greek authorities, four Pakistani nationals have been identified among the dead in Saturday’s incidents of capsized boats in the south of Crete Island of Greece,” the spokesperson for the FO said in a statement.
“Our Mission in Athens is in contact with the Greek authorities to facilitate the survivors and repatriate the dead bodies,” she stated.
47 Pakistani people were rescued from the scene of the boat capsize near Greece, according to confirmation from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs a day ago.
