A day after Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi’s forceful response to media rumors about his alleged involvement in an anti-China event during his recent visit to the United States (US), the Foreign Office (FO) on Monday categorically rejected “baseless and unfounded allegations” targeting the friendship between Pakistan and China.
Claims of involvement in any anti-Chinese event in the United States had been categorically denied by Naqvi, who called them “malicious fabrications” and “baseless campaigns” intended to damage his name.
FO Spokesperson Shafqat Ali Khan reiterated Pakistan’s steadfast adherence to the One-China Policy’s guiding principle in a statement today.
He emphasized that China was Pakistan’s all-weather strategic partner and added that the pledge “is a consistent cornerstone of Pakistan’s foreign policy and remains unchanged.”
