The leader of the Upper Galilee Regional Council in northern Israel, which is frequently attacked by Hezbollah, has called for more forceful measures and improved defense against the Lebanese militant organization.
The Israeli news website N12 cited Giora Zaltz as saying that “time is working against us” in the north.
He declared, “Every day that goes by without the Israeli government establishing objectives and putting forth effort to ensure the security of the Galilee residents causes damage that may never be repaired.”
Zaltz added that there is no end in sight to the fighting with Hezbollah and that thousands of Israelis have been forced to evacuate border towns with Lebanon, highlighting the necessity for the Israeli government to develop a “comprehensive economic plan.”
