KARACHI: Traffic has been significantly disrupted by an oil spill from a tanker that collided with a trailer truck on Karachi’s iconic Native Jetty Bridge.
Although there were no confirmed fatalities from the accident, commuters are having difficulties because the bridge is a significant commercial route that also connects to the port.
The traffic police say they are working to get traffic back around the Native Jetty Bridge. After a collision, the disruption happened early in the morning.
At five in the morning, the trailer struck the oil tanker on the Native Jetty Bridge, seriously damaging it. According to the traffic police, an oil spill occurred on the road as a result of damage to the tanker’s nozzle.
