Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Qazi Faez Isa sought evidence on Saturday of his role in the rigging of the February 8 elections after Rawalpindi Division Commissioner Liaquat Ali Chatha leveled serious allegations against the top judge and other officials.
“You make bogus allegations. There is no truth to it, nor is evidence provided. You have the right to make any allegations you choose, but you must provide proof to back them up. “Whether good or bad, it will be determined later,” the chief judge stated in response to today’s startling development.
He went on to add that his responsibility was limited to facilitating the conduct of elections.
