Salman bin Abdulaziz, the King of Saudi Arabia, has recovered, according to the royal court, which was cited by the state news agency (SPA), following his successful completion of lung inflammation tests on Wednesday.
The 88-year-old queen will get medical testing for a lung inflammation, the royal court announced on Sunday.
In May, the monarch of the largest oil exporting nation in the world and a significant US ally in the Middle East had also undergone treatment for inflammation of the lungs.
He last presided over a cabinet meeting on September 24, according to sources from the state news agency (SPA). In August, he issued a royal decree allowing the cabinet to meet without him or his son, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, who serves as prime minister.
