ISLAMABAD: After the city’s government withdrew its no objection certificate and blocked highways leading to the federal capital, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) decided to postpone its public meeting in Islamabad to September 8.
PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar Khan announced that the rally had been postponed and would now take place on September 8 in accordance with PTI founder Imran Khan’s directive.
“After meeting with the PTI founder in Adiala jail, we decided to postpone the jalsa,” he stated.
Omar Ayub, the secretary general of the PTI, further stated that Imran’s orders led to the rally’s new date.
“Under the guise of the Jalsa, we have information that the government is planning to spread chaos,” he insisted.
