He continued, as reported by the Mirror: “My entire family was extremely proud that the coronation turned into an occasion to honor not only national continuity and unity but also the principles we have long upheld, such as kindness, compassion, and selflessness, because of the millions of people who participated.
“As I mentioned in my Christmas broadcast last year, now is the moment to strengthen the mechanisms we already have in place to help those who are less fortunate than ourselves, as many people are going through serious difficulty. We also bring out the best in ourselves when we do this.”
The monarch continued, “So, if you are able, I can only encourage you to support the Big Help Out once more, thereby helping to build the kinder, closer communities of which we can all be so proud.”
More than 6 million people participated in The Big Help Out on May 8, 2023, last year.
The Big Help Out is scheduled for June 7–9 this year, and more volunteers than ever will be helping out.
