When Bosa wore a MAGA hat after San Francisco’s victory over the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday night, it garnered media attention earlier this week. Bosa, wearing the hat, approached from behind Brock Purdy, pointed at it, and left while he was being interviewed.
Robert Rivas, the 71st speaker of the California State Assembly, was not pleased with the action.
I hope Nick Bosa is traded to Mar-A-Lago by [49ers CEO] @JedYork. “I’ve seen enough of Bosa in California as a lifelong @49ers fan,” Rivas wrote on X.
Rivas published the post while quoting Bosa, who stated that it was “an important time” and that he would “not talk too much about” wearing the hat.
Bosa can get fined for the headwear. When it comes to what players can and cannot wear when they arrive at the stadium on game day, the NFL rulebook specifies this in Rule 5, Section 4, Article 8.
