The photographer who claimed to have been “punched in the chops” is the subject of an investigation by police.
Hours after Swift’s last gig in the city, her dad and she had just stepped ashore from a yacht at Neutral Bay Wharf, according to Ben McDonald, who reported the incident to the police.
Police stated they are looking into an alleged attack around 2.30 a.m. local time by a 71-year-old male on a 51-year-old man, though they did not provide identities.
A spokesman for Swift informed Rolling Stone that two people were “aggressively pushing” to get in touch with her, but Swift’s reps have not responded to a request for comment.
They said that after seizing security, the individuals threatened a staff member of the singer.
According to Mr. McDonald, the star was anticipated by the media as she approached two cars.
