KARACHI: The US Central Command (US Centcom) has expressed gratitude to Pakistan for its assistance in apprehending the primary suspect in the 2021 attack on Afghanistan’s Kabul Airport, stating that the US and Pakistan are committed to fighting terrorism.
“We are grateful to Pakistan for its cooperation in the arrest of Sharifullah, the main suspect in the attack on the Abbey Gate of Kabul Airport in Afghanistan, and for its cooperation with the United States in bringing the suspect to justice,” according to a post on US Centcom’s Urdu account X
The position was created by the US military’s unified combatant command, which is in charge of managing operations, security cooperation, and strategic interests throughout the Middle East.
