PESHAWAR: According to The News on Monday, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) district body in Peshawar met to discuss the city’s lack of development, a sign of growing dissatisfaction inside the party over the performance of the provincial administration.
PTI Peshawar President Irfan Saleem, former Deputy Speaker Mahmood Jan, Member of the National Assembly Shandana Gulzar, and others were present during the meeting.
Participants in the conference voiced their displeasure with the way the provincial government has handled urban development and civic issues in the provincial capital.
Peshawar has traditionally been a PTI stronghold, but despite the party’s third consecutive term in office, the city is still facing significant civic and infrastructure issues, according to a communiqué released after the meeting.
