MULTAN: On Monday, the West Indies won a Test match in Pakistan for the first time in almost 35 years thanks to five wickets taken by spinner Jomel Warrican.
To tie the series 1-1, the West Indies won the second Test at Multan by 120 runs on the third day. In Multan, Pakistan won the first Test by a margin of 127 runs.
Warrican gave the hosts a taste of their own medicine on spin-friendly surfaces by finishing with nine wickets in the match and 19 in the series.
After going winless on their travels in 1997 and 2006, the West Indies last triumphed in a Test match in Pakistan in November 1990 at Faisalabad.
