Karachi: According to insiders who spoke to the news, Pakistan’s selectors are considering making significant changes to the T20I team by resting key players like captain Muhammad Rizwan and Babar Azam during the forthcoming five-match away series against New Zealand.
The selection of a new captain for Pakistan’s Twenty20 international team will also be part of these adjustments.
The consultation process for the national men’s team’s white-ball squads for the March 16–April 5 tour of New Zealand has been concluded by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).
The sources also disclosed that Aqib Javed, a former pacer, is probably going to continue serving as the interim head coach because the cricket board was unable to begin the hiring process in time.
