Coldplay, Charli XCX, and Central Cee are among the British celebrities nominated for accolades.
According to TV, 19 nominees are in the running for their first-ever EMA this year.
These include the five-piece indie outfit The Last Dinner Party for best new act, post-punk band Fontaines DC for best alternative, and British and Irish groups like Disclosure and Fred Again for best electronic.
