Former federal minister Muhammad Ali Durrani stated on Tuesday that the government must address the Kurram tragedy and the outlawed Pashtun Tahafuz Movement in Islamabad in the same manner that it did in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
He stated, “The government will need to take a step back,” during an appearance on News Insight with Amir Zia on News.
His remarks followed the breakdown of negotiations between the government and the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf team.
In the face of police shelling and roadblocks, PTI supporters marched to Islamabad on Tuesday. Conflicts with protestors resulted in the death of one police officer and the injuries of dozens more, some of whom were in serious condition, according to the interior ministry.
