A man who “deceitfully” married a woman for her money has been taken into custody in Lahore.
The police claim that the woman brought the case against her spouse because he had allegedly tricked her into getting married in order to steal her money.
The British citizen who made the initial information report said that she had been to Pakistan in 2023 because of her mother’s health problems, and that’s when the suspect “deceitfully” married her.
She claimed that after she left the country, her husband took hold of her belongings, including jewelry, and refused to come back to join her.The complainant went on to say that she learned she was her husband’s “fifth wife” after she recently returned to Pakistan since he had previously married and tricked four other women.
