After serving nearly four years in prison, former high-profile FBI agent Kamran Faridi was freed from Florida Prison on the condition that he deport himself to Pakistan by August of this year.
District Judge Cathy Seibel of the South District of New York lowered Faridi’s original 84-month jail term to 72 months upon her release, according to a court order obtained by this reporter.
The ex-street gangster from Karachi and former high-flying espionage operator’s trial and difficulties are far from over. In addition to taking away his citizenship, the US authorities also cancelled the two residency permits he had obtained in the UAE and Turkey.
