Raducanu, a British fighter who fell 6-1 3-6 6-4, was aiming for her first triumph in New York since she unexpectedly won the title as a teenage qualifier in 2021.
She missed the competition last year while she healed from wrist and ankle surgery, and she dropped in the opening round of the 2022 tournament.
Between Wimbledon in July and the US Open earlier this month, Raducanu participated in just one competition and advanced to the quarterfinals in Washington.
The 21-year-old said she felt “sad” and “down” at a press conference following her defeat to fellow Grand Slam winner Kenin, fighting back tears.
In order to “manage my schedule slightly differently” for upcoming Grand Slams, she promised to “learn from it”.
According to Raducanu, “I would like to play more matches,” news.
“I certainly wouldn’t play in every tournament that was scheduled, but I would definitely play in more than I did last time around.
Raducanu elected not to compete in the Olympic Games in Paris this summer, and he also did not participate in WTA 1,000 events in Toronto and Cincinnati before to the US Open.
After the game, Raducanu acknowledged that she wasn’t quite as sharp against Kenin.
