Speaking on France Inter radio on Friday, Foreign Minister Stephane Sejourne said Paris will support the United Nations’ call for an independent probe.
“The humanitarian situation has been horrible for several weeks, and what transpired is inexcusable and unacceptable. “Israel needs to hear it, and it needs to stop,” Sejourne told France Inter.
“We’ve taken a step further; people are fighting for food, and there are riots. I heard the Secretary General of the United Nations’ proposal to launch an independent investigation, and I believe France will support it,” Sejourne added.
