As he lamented his passing and honored his legacy, Francis Ford Coppola praised Gene Hackman, his star from The Conversation, as “inspiring and magnificent.”
For those who are unaware, on February 26, 2025, Hackman and his wife, Betsy Arakawa, were discovered dead at their Santa Fe residence.
According to Santa Fe County Sheriff Adan Mendoza, no foul play is suspected, although the cause of death is yet unknown.
Following the revelation, Coppola, the director, shared a picture of the deceased actor on Instagram that appeared to be from a movie.
