According to reports, businessman Frank Hester told employees that the MP “should be shot” and “made me want to hate all black women.”
Since the 2019 general election, he and his business, The Phoenix Partnership, have given the Conservatives £10 million.
However, as the Electoral Commission only releases lists of donations every three months, Tortoise Media claims that Mr. Hester has donated the party an additional £5 million that has not yet been recorded.
The announcement coincides with mounting pressure on Rishi Sunak to return the money to the CEO in response to the alleged statements, which the prime minister labeled as “racist and wrong”.
