New ice weather warnings have been issued by the Met Office, and they will be in effect starting Thursday afternoon at 16:00 GMT and lasting until Friday AM.
Following an earlier warning for snow and ice in portions of northern Scotland, the two new warnings cover sections of Wales, Northern Ireland, and parts of north-west and east England.
Numerous regions have already had significant snowfall as a result of the severely cold stretch, and dozens of flood alerts and warnings are in effect as a result of either heavy rain or snowmelt.
In regions where warnings are in effect, travel disruptions to rail and road services are anticipated throughout Thursday.
