After her husband Derek Draper’s tragic death, Kate Garraway disclosed that she received a “beautiful letter” from the Prince and Princess of Wales.
Kate cited a number of well-known people who wrote her letters of condolence. Derek died as a result of COVID-19 problems, which he acquired in 2020 when the pandemic struck the world.
Kate said to fine Morning Britain on Monday, “I had the most beautiful letter from David and Victoria Beckham – handwritten, very good handwriting… that was Darcey’s observation.”
Then, although recovering from surgery and admitted to being in the hospital, she said that Princess Kate had written her a letter: “And from the royal family – Catherine and William sent a beautiful letter, and I know Catherine has been in hospital herself.”
She went on to say: “Even the King – because there is somebody [who] knows about grief – that anticipatory grief where you know something has a risk of happening and how different it is when it does happen.”
Having been “sort of sworn to secrecy” by the royal family, Kate was unable to reveal what they had said in the letters, but she made sure to bring them up.
She expressed gratitude for their sincere efforts and stated, “I just thought it was lovely of them to reach out to me.” However, it’s comforting to know that those individuals are aware of those feelings. I believe that it binds us all together.
