Iyad Abu Zaher, the director of Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir el-Balah, has warned that medical services at the hospital may soon cease owing to a lack of fuel.
“The fuel will enter the hospital at noon on Thursday, January 11,” Abu Zaher stated in a statement released by the Government Media Office, citing information from the World Health Organization. “The fuel is still not here.”
He issued a warning that if the electric generators entirely fail, patients and children could die.
“If this disaster occurs, we will hold all competent authorities fully accountable,” he declared. “We demand that nations take prompt action to provide gasoline to hospitals, as many sick and injured people could perish in.
