On Sunday, workmen digging up the nearby road broke the main pipeline, disrupting the gas supply in Liaquatabad, Karachi.
Locals in Liaquatabad and the adjacent areas claim that the gas supply has been impacted by the rupture in the six-inch gas pipe.
They also mentioned that at the time of the occurrence, sewer line repairs were still being done.
A gas pipeline breach in August resulted in lower gas pressure in a number of Sindh and Balochistan regions. The Gambat GPF IV feeder line, which provides gas to SSGC, is where it was found.
The gas supply system had a daily deficit of 38 million cubic feet as a result of this incident.
