“This journey has been crazy with lots of downs but lots of ups,” she told me.
Since Tokyo, I’ve learned a lot. I was one spot away from qualifying for surfing. It made me stronger. I am quite excited. I wasn’t sure I’d make it here.
In April, she suffered a tear to the medial collateral ligament in her right knee as part of a stormy buildup to Paris.
However, at the age of 16, Brown has already won two Olympic medals.
