PESHAWAR: Barrister Mohammad Ali Saif, adviser to the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister on Information, stated that the Kurram peace jirga, which lasted through the night, had reached a broad agreement among the conflicting tribes.
Barrister Saif gave an update on the ongoing peace talks on Sunday, stating that the jirga would meet on Tuesday after the forum, via mutual consultation, agreed to give two days to one of the groups that requested extra time to review a few topics with its leaders.
This comes after a significant breakthrough in the ongoing peace talks with one of the tribes signing the accord was reported by The News on Saturday.
