The Battle for Number 10 will feature a 20-minute Q&A session with a news award-winning political editor and a 25-minute public Q&A period for each leader.
“I’m really looking forward to it because I enjoy being able to talk directly to news viewers and to the audience there in Grimsby,” the Labour leader stated earlier this week in an interview with News.
“I think having slightly more time will allow us to develop some of the answers that we need to give.”
After an hour-long TV discussion, the News show, which kicks off at 7pm, is the second live TV questioning of the two contenders for 10 Downing Street this election campaign.
During the recent TV debate, which YouGov’s quick survey indicated Mr. Sunak won by a margin of 51% to 49%, the two leaders had 45 seconds to address each topic.
Executive editor and managing director Jonathan Levy explained the structure of the News program by saying: “People expressed a want to hear more from Rishi Sunak and Keir Starmer.
