General Sahir Shamshad Mirza, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, traveled to Azerbaijan and met with President Ilham Aliyev, the Defense Minister, the Foreign Minister, the Deputy Prime Minister, and the Chief of General Staff.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the leaders discussed topics of mutual interest during their talks, with a particular emphasis on strengthening regional security and military cooperation between Pakistan and Azerbaijan. In order to improve relations between the two countries, General Sahir underlined the significance of stepping up military cooperation.
The two nations’ shared commitment to regional peace and stability was also reaffirmed during the talks.
President Aliyev emphasized the respect and gratitude for Pakistan’s contributions to regional stability while acknowledging the sacrifices and professionalism displayed by the Pakistani army.
